Isaac Ekblad has been scouted on several occasions, but he finally signed with Specimen Models in Seattle. After that he was taken up by Wilhelmina and was sent to Europe to see what he was able to book for the menswear shows.
Even though Isaac was a newcomer to the modeling world, he quickly got a Givenchy exclusive.
He was scouted by Specimen Models in Seattle and then a week later he signed with Wilhelmina. After being with the agency for a couple of weeks, he was sent to Europe where he landed the Givenchy Exclusive. He then did a week of looks for them and he walked in the show.
However, before this Isaac had been scouted a few times, with the first time being in a coffee shop when he was studying for exams with friends. He says that a lady came in and asked if he wanted to be a model. Isaac thought that it was just a joke, but then it happened again until he eventually signed.
Isaac Ekblad says that his favorite things are good books, with his favorite authors being Heidegger, Dostoyevsky, Steinbeck and Nietzsche. He also loves the outdoors, going hiking, fly fishing and snowboarding.
Also Isaac is pretty smart and says that if he wasn’t modeling then he would be back at school studying philosophy and teaching swimming lessons.
Isaac has said that so far his favorite experience was in Beijing where he did an Arena Homme shoot; the shoot involved an abandoned gun factory and girl that was wearing a giant panda suit.
Isaac Ekblad has worked for View Management, Premier Model Management, d’managemet group, Success Models and is with Wilhelmina New York.
Isaac’s first big break was not long after he signed with Wilhelmina a few weeks after he was scouted. His first job was walking the spring Givenchy show in Paris as an exclusive.
Isaac Ekblad was named the model of the week for 3 May 2013. This came after he spent a week in Beijing for the Dior Homme show. Isaac has already made his mark on the fashion world most notably for his runway appearance for Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Jill sander and more. Not only is he a model though as he also has a great knowledge in the subjects of philosophy as he has a Bachelor of Arts in it as well as literature and skilled coffee brewing.
Isaac also features in the September issue of the British GQ as part of the Fall 2013 collection preview that was photographed by Tony Kim. He is seen in the issue wearing Dior Homme and Burberry Prorsum. He also featured two of the looks on the runway for the collection by Kris Van Assche in January in Paris.
Isaac is still quite new in the modeling world, but you can expect to see his face more and more as time goes on.
