Caterina Ravaglia is an Italian print and runway model. She was born on September 14th, 1994. Her modeling career began in 2009 when she represented Italy and took second place in one of the world’s most prestigious modeling competitions ‘Elite Model Look’. The competition took place in Sanya, China on the 13th of October that year. Julia Saner was the winner of the competition.
Caterina’s achievements in the competition lead to her being considered one of the top young models in the fashion industry. While many of the worlds top designers have come from Italy, they are not so well represented when it comes to models, Caterina has been doing to bit to tackle this injustice. Caterina has taken part in many shows for some of the worlds top designers, including Givenchy, Prada, Miu Miu, Lanvin, Dries Van Noten, YSL, Chanel, Elie Saab, Giambattista Valli, Hermès, Rochas, Dolce & Gabanna, Marni, and Missoni.
In January 2011 Paolo Roversi photographed Caterina for an editorial in Vogue Italy. Caterina attended the Autumn/Winter 2011/12 fashion weeks in London, Milan and Paris. Following this she was cited by style.com as the new Italian model on the rise. Caterina became the face of the Cerruti Spring/Summer 2011 advertisement campaign. The campaign was created by Paolo Roversi. She was also the face of the M Missoni Autumn/Winter 2011/12 campaign as well as the Frankie Morello Autumn/Winter 2011/12 campaign. In March 2014 FashionTV named Caterina as their Model of the week describing her as a “Raw Beauty”.
